Version: Anime version, but extending in time a bit afterwards.

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Tohru Honda is probably the most innocent girl you could ever meet. In terms of sexuality, she's never thought seriously about it. She's extremely shy and anxious when the subject is brought up, and half the time she doesn't know what anyone's talking about. She's completely ignorant to sexuallity. Even with the feelings she begins to have for Kyo, it's pure and innocent.

Appearance: Tohru is illuminated with kindness, however average she may look, the small amount of blush on her pale cheeks is a constant reminder, to those who know her, just how frail she is. She wears her long brown hair down, mostly, sometimes decorating it with ribbons or braided pigtails. She's around average height for a Japanese girl of her age, a bit on the skinny side. Tohru has large blue, sparkling eyes. Her wardrobe consists of mostly skirts and plain, but pretty outfits.

Personality: Some say, "nice guys finish last." Tohru is a good example; she is always left out. But Tohru is the kind of girl who is so pure, kind, and innocent that no one in their right mind could find it in their heart to take advantage of, or to be cruel to her. She radiates an aura of "niceness" which slowly influences everyone around her. Tohru is clean. She has a knack for housekeeping and cooking, and does her best to help anyone she can at any time. Tohru can be awkward, however. She doesn't know how to let other people know when things are bothering her. She finds her own troubles insignificant, although she has been through a lot.

She will never give up. She can't give up. Ever since her mother died, she carries the picture of her mother with her, and talks to her. She was extremely close to her mother, and would never want to dissapoint her. She tries her best in everything she does, and no matter how hard it gets... she stays strong as best she can.

Tohru loves people. She loves the difference in people's characters, and the stories they have.

Tohru's very sensitive. She cries to sad stories. But when her own problems are surfacing, she will smile through the tears and pretend everything's okay. God forbid should she inconvenience anyone else with her 'silly problems'.

Because of how many didn't think Tohru's father was really her father, because they looked nothing alike, Tohru began to take up some interesting personality traits. Her father was very quirky and sometimes random and strange. So, in result, Tohru decided to try to act more like her father so that others could see that she was in the same family as him. Some of her quirks are apparent in the way she talks. Also, because of how her father died, getting a disease and dying from it, Tohru is always concerned when people she cares about get sick. She will do her best to make sure that they're alright.

Overall, Tohru is an obsessively caring, extremely pure, and cute individual.

Abilities/Weaponry: Tohru wouldn't dream of ever fighting, unless it was self defense! However, she has great abilities in housekeeping and cooking. Her work ethic is amazing, she can work long hours without complaint. She also has a way of bringing peace to those around her.

Weaknesses: Tohru is not a fighter. She would be crushed in a fight. She bruises easily and sometimes overworks herself to the point of being sick. Tohru sometimes feels she doesn't belong. She has to be reassured that she's where she's supposed to be, and not intruding on anything.

History: After being orphaned when her mom died in a car accident, and her father when she was younger, Tohru Honda went to live with her grandfather. But, when there were renovations being done on the house, Tohru was asked to find a friend to stay with. Feeling bad about asking either one of her two best friends(Arisa Uotani and Saki Hanajima) if she could stay with them, she decided to live on her own. She had a WONDERFUL idea, and decided to get a tent and live in the woods! Tohru was excited that she could live on her own without burdening anyone.

Tohru went to school with Yuki Sohma and already knew of the "prince", as he was dubbed for his good looks, but had no idea that she was staying on his family's property! The property is owned by the Sohma family, a rich family that has a curse on it. If hugged by the opposite sex, or under a great deal of stress, the family members transform into animals from the chinese zodiac.
After Tohru was found by Shigure and Yuki Sohma on their property, she was asked to stay with them as their housekeeper. She agreed, hesitantly, afraid that she was intruding. Kyo Sohma arrived soon after she began to stay there. Throughout time, Tohru interacted with many in the family, and touched and changed many people.
(This part's going to read a bit weird... I can't spend forever explaining every plotpoint... haha.)

One day after school, Kyo, Yuki, and Tohru were walking home from a normal day at school. School had just started again, Kyo and Yuki were still arguing, but not nearly as much or as seriously. They were walking home and about to cross a street, when Kyo tripped. Tohru tried to catch him, but only succeeded in transforming him into a cat. A car ran over the cat's form, killing Kyo instantly.

Yuki tried to calm the panicking Tohru, but he was stunned himself. The two of them stood in shock, and both feeling very queasy. They moved his body off of the road, wrapped it in his clothes, and carried him home.

That night, nobody slept. But nobody took it as hard as Tohru did. She found herself unable to hold down food, vomiting and feeling sick with grief and guilt. She blamed herself. She believed that if she wouldn't have tried to catch him, maybe he would have survived if he was still in human form.
